She glances down, shy again, but pleased. Very pleased.

Cal reaches over with his free hand, sliding a strand of her hair back behind her ear.

She can't quite meet his eyes even though her smile widens.

He lets the strand slip between his fingers as it settles into place, then runs his fingertips gently along the curve of her cheek.

She closes her eyes and ever so slightly leans into his touch.

This is... so sweet. Like something out of a book or an old movie.

He smiles slightly, watching her for a few seconds longer, then leans in and kisses her.

Tina makes a tiny gasp, but after a brief moment of surprise, she kisses back.

She reaches out to rest one hand on his shoulder.

She's not pushing him away. That's good.

He lets his hand stay on her cheek and concentrates on kissing her.

On the contrary, after another moment, she pulls him in, wrapping both arms around his neck.

Cal drops the crackers and cheese, and his arm wraps around her waist.

Tina smiles into the kiss and relaxes in Cal's arms. When it breaks a few moments later, she sighs and beams up at him.

"Now that was a first kiss."

Cal smiles and touches his forehead to hers.

"No complaints here," he agrees.

Tina closes her eyes, beaming. Then she presses her lips to his again.

She vaguely worries that it might not be the best of ideas to do this in the living room where anyone might walk in, but she stops caring once he kisses back.

Were there cheese and crackers?

Were they going to watch a movie?

Was he going to tell Tina about the stuff he keeps glossing over in public?

Because Cal has completely forgotten all those things.

Tina is not remembering much either. Kisses are nice.

After a bit more kissing, she pulls back, a little breathless.

"This is- this is really nice."

Cal laughs softly. He can't help it.

"That's one word for it," he agrees.

She laughs, too. "I can't think of better words at the moment. Nice. Sweet. Awesome."

"I like 'awesome,'" Cal decides. "Awesome works."

"Awesome," she giggles, taking his hands in hers. She leans her head against the back of the couch and smiles at him.

"Awesome," Cal echoes, lacing his fingers with hers.

"Were we going to watch a movie or something? Not that I'm perfectly fine how we are right now, but I'd like to hang out a little while."

"Yeah."

That sounds vaguely familiar.

"And I was going to - tell you some things."

He'd rather kiss Tina than talk about his father, or Stane for that matter, but - well, now he's thinking about them both, so maybe kissing her wouldn't be the best idea anyway.

"Yeah?"

She kisses his cheek and cuddles up against him, resting her head on his shoulder.

"Okay. If you want to."

He likes the feel of her head against his shoulder. He slips his arm more securely around her.

"They're not secrets, exactly - I mean, not like, deep dark confessions or whatever. Just . . . Sunnydale stuff. Stuff that had to get hidden because people wouldn't believe it."

"Stuff that happened to you?"

Yeah... it sounds like something serious.
